Bad Blood

Life miniatures, December 2019. collector comission.

I chose an artwork as a reference with a very dramatic neon light, at the beginning i thought it would be such a great idea but i ended up struggling so much with this painting, i remember being almost depressed. At the end people loved it and that was a huge reward, but the process itself was very demanding.

The main difficult thing is that in the main view you have the strongest shadow, and the highlights which are the easy parts of a painting, are not looking at that view or are coming from another direction, so putting that shadow in the middle of it and make it look natural was quite a nightmare.
